Quite a while ago now, Microsoft has launched Windows 10, its latest version of the Windows Operating System for PCs, Laptops and Tablets.
In general, reviewers have given it quite positive feedback. Besides a lot of new and quite useful features, it takes care of a number of quite unpopular issues relating to the Windows 8 “tiled” User Interface. And, if you are running Windows 7 or Windows 8, the upgrade is free!
So, should you rush in and run the upgrade right away? There is no need to hurry: The free upgrade will be available for a full year, right until end of July 2016. For stand-alone computers, our recommendation is that at the very least do call us first before you proceed.
But in particular, you may find that your currently used software is not yet supported, in particular special older Line of Business applications such as Accounting Systems, Databases etc. You MUST first check with your supplier to ensure they indeed do support Windows 10.
Do you have older style printers, scanners etc? As with the Line of Business applications, please check first that Windows 10 drivers are available.
Naturally, you are always welcome to give us a call if you are unsure.
Dedicated to your success,
Franz Huber
